I've started to look at a couple of things for baby's nursery.
Here are some of the things I have picked so far.
Cribs - Not quite sure if I want Dark Wood or Classic Baby White:
Paint Colors - All Benjamin Moore of course.
Crystal Blue 2051-70
Pink Pearl 2005-60
Bedding
Pottery Barn Kids - Organic Dots
Migi - Pinwheel
Migi - Sweet
Dressers - I like the idea of purchasing a piece that can be used later down the road as a chest of drawers. I'm just not sure if the 8 Drawer Chest would fit into the space. All are from Ikea. I do like that the 8 Drawer is longer, allowing itself to double as a changing table for the first little while.

I realize that it's been a month since my last post, and it's not for lack of things that need to be done. In my last post, I mentioned that there wasn't much else to do... I was wrong.
Chris has been busy painting the great room, staircase and upstairs hallway. We also picked up a new TV - 40" Sony Bravia with a Sound System. Chris created a system for the wires that go in the side of the fireplace, snake up the inside and come out of the top, so the wires are pretty well hidden - he's pretty handy.
Our next task is painting the kitchen. On our most recent trip to Dixie Paints - our Local Benjamin Moore store, we had a chat with Joe, the manager about painting our kitchen and he helped us to pick out a couple colors.
We've narrowed it down to 2 choices.
1) CC-90 Natural Linen
2) CC-250 Seaspray
Natural Linen is the larger of the two chips.
We've also finally decided on a Dining Table! After waiting months and months for the set I saw at Costco to come available again, I found a Table at Urban Barn that I really like. It's reclaimed barnboard, so it's eco friendly.
In other updates - Bath and Body Works recently opened in Mississauga.
I picked up a couple things for the house.
A Pumpkin Scentport - Like a Glade Plug-In, but smells delicious, doesn't give me a headache and scents the entire house!
A Caramel Pumpkin Candle - Smells like sweet, spicy Caramel.
I've already been planning for my next visit and will pick up one of these:
some rooms sprays and some travel sized shower gel, lotion and body splash in Coconut Lime Verbana .... smells like summer!

Some Executive Decisions have been made.
Chris decided on the Prints for the Living Room.
And I have decided on Bathroom Hardware.
All are by Umbra.
For the Powder Room
The Teardrop Collection
And for the Master Bath
The Trillis COllection
I think this will complete most of the decorating in the house. I just need to finish the Master - Find something for above the bed. And figure out what to do with Sophie and Tallulah's Room.

If you don't already know by now, I love all things Vintage. But most of all I love Vintage Art. Our den is now home to 3 Vintage Prints, and the living room to two. However, I'd like to replace one of the two living room pieces. My Martini & Rossi poster was meant for a much smaller frame. There is also a large empty wall as you come up the stairs from the main entrance - I'd like to put another vintage print there.
So, I've been looking around on Art.com for some new Vintage Giclee Prints. The problem - I like almost all of them! Here are the ones that I'm considering.
I'd also really like to do something with the entryway, but I have NO IDEA what to do there. Opinions on Posters? Ideas for the entry?
I'm watching a movie right now called Paperclips. I've been wanting to see it for a while now, and although I missed the first 45 minutes, I must say, it was worth waiting for. I'm a lover of all things having to do with the Holocaust and this movie is a very refreshing take on the Holocaust. It's not based on the terrible details of the event, but focuses more so on giving new life and a proper resting place for all those who died in the Holocaust. They had a Cattle Car used in the Kindertransport shipped to Tennessee and filled it with 12 Million Paperclips, 1 for each person killed in the Holocaust... the weight of all the paper clips = 2 Tonnes.

Okay, We're working our way up. Today we're starting downstairs in the Entryway and Den with Coastal Path. Very similar to the C.I.L color Mushroom Cap that we had in our last place, just with a little bit of a Green undertone to bring out the Cherry Hardwood.
Again with Aura Paint - looks gorgeous. The best part - the price! We have it on our record that we get all of our Aura paint at the contractor's price, saving us $20/gallon - a huge bonus when we have this much painting to do (about 6-7 more Gallons of paint to go).
Photos to follow!

I'm still trying to decide between paint colors for the Living Room/Den/Everywhere else but Kitchen. We decided against Kangaroo, it was a little too cool for the Cherry Floors. But, I was curious about some of the Benjamin Moore Historical Colors. So... Back to Benjamin Moore this morning to buy some more Tester Pots.
Powell Bluff was pretty much eliminated immediately - Too Yellow.
Lenox Tan with Curtains and Hardwood
Coastal Path with Curtains and Hardwood
Considering that we are starting to paint tomorrow and I still have no idea what color I want to use, I think Chris will be making an executive decision. As much as I love Lenox Tan, I think it'll probably be Coastal Path, very neutral and more subdued.
What are your thoughts?

There's just one more room to paint when everything's said and done - the Girls' room. Of course, I'd love to paint it in a bright pink, like this:
but, bright pink has been vetoed, so maybe something a little more subdued...
Sand Dollar, Perhaps? Maybe still a little too pink?
But I LOVE this color on the walls... Crystal Blue. But we're not painting a nursery. It's a room used by the cat for bathroom breaks, and by Sophie for occasional crating.
I think that maybe one of these two colors would be more suitable for the space. Both are from the Off Whites Benjamin Moore collection.
But, I've also seen this color on the Exterior of a house with Nantucket Gray and it is Beautiful!
Pink Sea Shell

In the midst of painting, I'm also trying to pick a new light fixture for the downstairs bathroom, along with new hardware. I can't decide if I want a more modern or traditional look. Here are two of the Light Fixtures I've narrowed it down to so far.
I've also been trying to pick out new hardware. Of course, it'll depend on which light fixture we end up picking. But now, I can't quite decide if I want a Towel Ring or Bar. Too many decisions!!!
Suggestions?
